ABOUT ME

How it all began...

Hi Dear

My name is Margareta. I’m an Institute for Integrative Nutrition graduate, certified health coach, entrepreneur, seeker, dreamer and believer. Mum to my lovely little princesses and wife to my gorgeous husband. I love dancing, travelling, laughing loud, eating and loving this beautiful life. I am fascinated with ancient myths and cultures.

Just like any busy woman, I’m juggling a million things at the time. It’s not easy and it can get all overwhelming. Sounds familiar, right? For years I thought I could get through weeks with minimal sleep, maximum coffee intake, bad carbs and sugar. Until one day life kicked me in the butt. Hard.

For about two years my body was giving me sigs and tried to tell me that something was off. I was in pain, emotional, put on weight and got extremely moody. My periods were a havoc. After many visits to different gynaecologists, in 2012 I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis. I had 4-5 cm big chocolate cysts in both of my ovaries, adhesions on my bladder and my left ovary got attached to my uterus. My ovarian tissue and reserve got destroyed and I was told my chances were low to ever conceive naturally. I was advised to have an invasive surgery immediately, to remove the cysts, potentially followed by a hormone shot that will push my body into menopause. As you can imagine I was shocked and scared.

But I’m not the type of person who gives up easily. I’ve done my research and I came up with my own solution. I decided to refuse the surgery and found an OB-GYN who didn’t want to operate on me immediately. I gained time. I wanted to heal naturally.

That night, whilst meditating I saw the image of a glowing deer at the opposite side of a river. And just as my Hungarian ancestors followed a Miraculous Deer to find their new home, I knew I had to follow that Deer and my instincts, believe in myself and heal. And so my healing journey began.

I changed my lifestyle, diet, I read hundreds of medical articles about endometriosis, lifestyle, supplements, hormones. I quit my job and found a vocation I loved, I let go of useless personal and professional relationships and the cysts started to shrink. When we decided it was time to enlarge our family, I fell pregnant with my daughter immediately. My 6 weeks scan confirmed – there was no sign of endometriosis inside my ovaries.

I studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, based in New York, where I learned from the greatest doctors, nutritionists, coaches and psychologists about the body-mind connection, functional medicine and above hundred different dietary theories.

I created the Endearing project to help women like myself to heal, may it be a via nutrition, exercise, a new diet, lifestyle changes or emotional work. I helped women with issues such as bloating, migraine, binge eating, irregular periods, PMS, weight loss, preparation for pregnancy or even IVF.

I am well equipped to accompany you on jour healing journey and help you endear yourself with all your perfect imperfections. So let’s follow the Deer, let me be your guide.

Love and light

Margareta aka @Endearing Marga
